Shipping and Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions:
Is it real seaglass? Yes it is. All pieces are hand crafted using genuine seaglass.
Has the glass been shaped? I do not alter the glass in size or shape. Mother Nature has already perfected its beauty so I use the glass “as is” and design the jewelry to reflect the individual piece of sea glass.
Where do you find your glass? Along the shorelines of beautiful Prince Edward Island. When I travel and visit other beaches I cannot help myself (after all it is an addiction!) so a few have come from other shorelines.
Is it sterling? All of the pieces (unless indicated otherwise) use sterling silver (.925) . Some of the designs also use gold, copper, bronze or brass.
Can I use my own seaglass? I invite you to send me sea glass or pottery shards from your own collection. After I view your beach glass, I would be more than delighted to custom design an individual piece just for you. If you happen to be on Prince Edward Island and find a beach treasure, visit me at my studio and help in the design of your own unique piece. This is a great experience and you will have a deeper connection to your own unique and custom piece.
How do I keep it clean? I clean the seaglass with a small (empathize small!) amount of Vaseline, then wipe it dry with a cloth. You can use a jewelry cloth or silver "dip" to remove tarnish. It won't harm the beach glass! Be sure to follow directions on product label for best results. As the jewelry is made from glass it can break. But please wear your jewelry on land or sea with confidence. It is created with fun loving energy and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
How do you drill beach glass? Each piece is hand-drilled underwater with diamond tipped drills. This exacting procedure preserves its natural form.
What if a piece gets damaged or I loose an earring? If your jewelry needs to be repaired, please mail it in durable packaging with bubble wrap, along with clear instructions on how to reach you. I will call you with a repair estimate, and to get your approval, before I proceed. I will do my best to match the lost earring but as you know while some of the glass may be similar in style and color they are never identical. Perfectly mismatched!
